- Pilot for paws
We have signed up for pilot for paws. It is an organization
that has pilots volunteer there time and aircrafts to fly dogs
around the country that need new homes or moved from
overcrowded shelters to ones that will be able to keep the dogs
until they are adopted.
- RV-10 Panel upgrade & maintenance
After I got wind of the new Advanced flight systems 5500 and 5600 Screens I decided to upgrade from my 4500S screens.
I love my 4500's and expect I will love these even more. I have just received my new 5500 screens and have been prepping the airplane for them. I decided to due all the changes at my annual and everything fell into place. I am also adding a TCW
battery backup for the new screens, I new cat whisker Nav antenna and ADS/B from Navworxs. Attached are some pictures of the upgrades. I also decied to put more fire insulation in the tunnel area. I used Fiberfrax

New Aerosport Products door handle covers. These handles install in minutes over the existing stock RV-10 door handles.
The cover plate also hides the door mechanism gear box.

These are the switches I used in my RV-10. Thet are a very high quality rocker switch
- Baggage door cover
I decided that it would be nice to have a baggege door cover that could hold a quart of oil and fuel tester RV-10 low profile
wheel chocks or anything else.

- RV-10 weekend
On 8-27-10 Ivan flew down from Canada with his new RV-10
and we flew all over Ohio for the weekend. Perfect weather and great company. Ivan got in to LHQ at around 10:30 am. We then went for lunch in Ivans new RV-10 to Grimes field I74.We then went to the new museum at grimes were my good friend Chris Patton runs and works on the airplanes. Then off to the B-17 hangar (other end of the field) were they are restoring a
B-17. After a couple hours we flew back to LHQ. Ivan then went for a ride in my RV-10 and we compared notes and tucked them away for the night. That night we went out to dinner with Bob Leffler his wife Janice and my wife Laurel. After a great dinner at Bonefish grill off to Bobs to see his project. Saturday morning Bob Leffler and his son Brad joined us on for pictures in the air, speed checks and some great flying. Then off to lunch at Furey field. Many Ohio rvators were there and a great lunch. Stopped for fuel and ice cream on the way back to LHQ. Ivan departed back to Canada at 5:00pm. A great 2 days.
On Sunday I went up to Centerburg OH71 and went flying with my good friend Mike Barbee in his 1946 Aeronca Super Chief. I then took him in my RV-10. What a great weekend
of flying.
- Oshkosh 2010
Our first time flying into OshKosh. Sloshkosh was the nickname this year
- PUT IN BAY for dinner
It was a beautiful day July 1 and Laurel and I decided to fly
up to Put in bay Ohio 3W2 for Dinner. Great time good food.

Every year Beach City has a Fly in and brakfast on Fathers Day. I finally got to go this year. It was a great time
- Geoff's 50th surprise
Laurel my wonderful wife and Daughter Stephanie had a great surprise birthday party for me at our good freinds hangar. It was at the airport we fly out of. (KLHQ) My brother Chip and his wife Renee came up and
we went out to Dinner on Friday night. And then Saturday was the big surprise. We had a great time both nights and great weather.
It was a great time.

Laurel and I flew our Piper Challenger to Hilton Head for spring break. We had a great time.
